Dan Bates, LPN

Clinical Resource Nurse
Dan Bates LPN

Dan became interested in pursuing a career in the healthcare field due to my involvement in sports. He was introduced to sports medicine by his aunt, who is a physical therapist. Healthcare became something that intrigued him, and he completed the prerequisites only to discover that all PT programs had waiting lists. Since school was not his favorite idea, he decided to switch his degree to business. Dan eventually own/opened his own physical therapist clinic. Throughout the course of his life, he was provided with the opportunity to become involved in the banking industry. During that time, he was able to learn and grow his ability to connect with people and learn that he truly belonged working with people. With that realization, Dan’s mind wandered back to the desire to be involved in sports medicine and/or some part of the medical field. In this light, he decided to return to Utah from Southern California and enroll in nursing school.

In his free time, Dan has many things that interest him, so he is unable to list them all. Some of the things that stand out are travel (he travels with a group of friends every year), the outdoors, and theatre. Among his hobbies are being outdoors, enjoying the sun, and spending time in the water, such as paddle boarding, swimming, boating, or relaxing on the beach. Additionally, Dan enjoys quiet nights at home watching movies as well as entertaining friends.
