Ajay Bhatt, MD

Ajay Bhatt, MD  was drawn to health care by a deep commitment to service and a desire for a career centered on helping people in meaningful, tangible ways. Medicine offered the ideal blend of intellectual challenge, compassion, and responsibility, and it quickly became the path he chose to pursue.

Over the course of his career, Ajay has seen how chronic wounds can significantly impact a person’s mobility, independence, and overall quality of life, which led to his focused interest in wound care. He is particularly fascinated by the science of healing and the opportunity to continually learn, refine techniques, and improve outcomes. Ajay finds great fulfillment in building trust with patients, supporting them through vulnerable moments, and partnering with them on their healing journey.

In addition to his clinical work, Ajay values mentorship and education, believing that helping colleagues and future clinicians grow is one of the most rewarding aspects of his profession.

Outside of work, Ajay enjoys running, surfing, and cheering on the Chicago Bears.
