What got Tara interested in health care is that she grew up in a family that worked in the health care field. Her interest stems mostly from working as a health education volunteer with the Peace Corps. She learned the importance of being educated about health situation and proper care of all health issues. This is a major reason why she gravitated towards the health care field.
