Dr. Hudson says she has been fortunate to practice general surgery, take some time to raise her two children, and develop a love for chronic wound care. A practice that was supposed to be a steppingstone back into surgery captivated her with its multidisciplinary needs, hands-on treatment, and varied patient population. The unique nature of wound care treatment allows her to get to know her patients better. She adds that providing care onsite in a skilled nursing facility benefits everyone working to heal the wound.
